Jericho on the Web-o-sphere

Jericho Statis

Note: I’ve been battling a monstrous cold this week, and I’ve been neglecting my blogs. I’m so sorry about that. I’m on an up-swing, finally, so I hope to start going back to a more regular posting schedule.

But, because of the Cold that is Kicking Me All Over The Place, here are some links that will be more interesting than counting out all the tissues I’ve run through this week.

Well, I’ll let you go and read some of those links below, while I try to figure out how I can make Theraflu taste better than lemonade that has been sitting in your car all day in the middle of summer. Have you seen any good stories or articles around the Great and Powerful Interwebs about Jericho recently? Leave a note and a URL in the comments.

Spoilers! We’ve got Spoilers!

Cast_Dark

SciFiWire has some great spoiler-y visions of the sets being built up for the upcoming 7-episode second season.

John Steinberg, co-creator and producer of the show, said in interviews that the seven episodes of the season will focus primarily on the introduction of these new outside elements to the town of Jericho and how its citizens respond to them.

“The first season was about that sort of invisible force, the government, the law, the financial system, all those things, disappearing, and living in a vacuum,” Steinberg said in an interview on the set. “And season two is about what happens when something comes back to replace that vacuum, and it’s not what you remembered being there when you left. And so that’s kind of the big arc of it, and how we respond to that and resist it or learn to deal with it.”

Scott Peters Set to Direct Episode of Jericho

Set Tours

Finally, something I can cross-post with Watching 4400. :)

Scott Peters, creator and executive producer for the 4400 (you might remember him from the video Set Tours on the Official Site) is set to direct the next-to-last episode of the seven-episode second season for Jericho, BuddyTV.com is reporting.

As The 4400’s small but extremely loyal following knows, Peters is capable of delivering intense television action.

The title and plot of Peters’ episode is not known yet, but bearing in mind that his credits are almost entirely composed of science fiction credits, one has to wonder: Is Jericho going to be taking a turn for the weird?

While Peters’ role in the production has not been completely fleshed out, it is possible that he is being brought in as a consulting producer.

Jerichcon 2007 - Oakley or Bust!

Thursday, September 6th, 2007
Jericho_Rooftop

Guardians of Jericho is hosting Jerichcon 2007 in Oakley, Kansas on September 14-16, 2007. Are you going?

Shaun, of Shaunomatic Radio, seems to say it all:

Lets join together in Oakley Kansas for a once in a lifetime event..the first JERICHON !!!!

Lets cherish the time we will spend together and know that we have made history and will be making history in Oakley.

The eyes of the TV world will be upon Oakley, so please do what you can and try to attend even one day of the JERICHON..

Or if you cannot make it, please give a donation to help make this more of a success.

So lets shrug off the coming fall TV blues as we wait for Jericho to start and join together to put names and faces to the screen names..

I for one cannot wait to meet you all in Oakley….

With the expense of Dragoncon not even hitting my budget yet, there’s just no way that I can go to this, though I would love to in particular, meet Shaun in person.

So, who’s going?

Chris Kramer to Join Jericho

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

Chris Kramer MovieWeb.com is reporting that Chris Kramer (who knew there were so many Chris Kramers in the entertainment industry, as the IMDB search brought up so many returns), who I hope is the guy to the left, which, after reading his IMDB Profile seems to make the most amount of sense. I’ve also found a fansite for him, and reading through the filmography and other links provided on the site, also seems to make me think that this is the guy that will be playing the role, not some of the other Chris Kramers that are listed on IMDB. Who is he playing, I hear you asking? Well, MovieWeb.com doesn’t have a lot of information to go on, but what they do have is extremely intriguing.

In other casting news, Chris Kramer has signed onto CBS’ Jericho. He will be playing Chavez, an old friend of Robert Hawkins (Lennie James).

An old friend of Hawkins? My first question is he an old friend like Sarah was an old friend, or could he might possibly be someone on the “White Hat” side of Hawkins’ past? What do you think?

Dragoncon Memories

Monday, September 3rd, 2007

DragonCon 2007 Parade_143, originally uploaded by Hueyatl.

I just finished a phone call with Shaun’s BlogTalkRadio Show, talking about how wonderful (and exhausting) the con was, and how the panels went (amazingly well), and how I got to chat with Scott Heathcote, who played a deputy on Jericho in a few episodes. I’ll be cleaning up my audio files from my panels and my chat with Scott and Shaun said that he’ll play some of it on Friday night’s Jericho talk. For now, though, I need lots and lots of sleep. :)
